It has been a bit over a month now with Rohde & Schwarz. Last week we hosted an event to celebrate the acquisition and other things, such as our new premises, six successful years of ipoque, and our new corporate design. This was the first time since the acquisition that I had the chance to talk to several of our partners personally.
It was a good opportunity to speak about some details and explain the advantages coming out of the acquisition for ipoque. While many of our partners wanted to know details about the future of ipoque, one question was asked more often than others: “Will ipoque continue all products and services or will it change its business strategy?” The answer is simply yes: Yes, we will continue all our existing products but we will also adapt our business strategy to the new situation.
The moment we signed the contract was one of the proudest moments in the life of all of us ipoque founders. A company like Rohde & Schwarz does not just buy a business at random. Rohde & Schwarz is a very solid, successful and responsible company. To us it was proof that we had been successful with ipoque, too. In fact, them being interested in us confirmed our business strategy.
I think it is obvious why some things have to change though. The acquisition by Rohde & Schwarz gave us more freedom to operate. We gained access to a worldwide sales network and we will use this to expand our business. Naturally.
